One way we can help reduce pollution in our local waterways is to mark storm drains to let people know where that water goes! Start with us at Skyline Elementary to mark storm drains in nearby neighborhoods, spreading the word that stormwater can flow into fish habitat. We will start with an orientation to how to mark storm drains and how to navigate working alongside roads, then work in groups to cover as much ground as we can! RSVP to receive reminders, but anyone is welcome to come by and help out. This event is a collaboration of the City of Ferndale and Whatcom Conservation District as part of Whatcom Water Week.
