2022 Native Plant Sale

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 29th annual Whatcom CD Native Plant Sale! This was one of our most successful Native Plant Sales ever! Over 32,900 native plants were purchased by over 500 local landowners and we can’t wait for all the new native landscaping around the county. These native plants will provide year-round colorful attractive landscaping, help filter run off, save water by requiring less irrigation, improve salmon habitat on streams, and attract native pollinators and wildlife.

This was our second year holding our native plant sale pick up at Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association, and the event went really smoothly. The sunshine outside Saturday complemented the smiles of the people who came out to pick up their orders. Lines were short and quick, there was little rain, and the excitement for spring planting was palpable.

Throughout the day we received feedback from happy plant sale customers about the exceptional organization of the event, their excitement to plant their new plants, and about how welcoming and helpful the working staff were.

The plant pickup was so well organized... I don't think I was in line for more than a few minutes, congratulations! I'm looking forward to start planting. - Paul Stromdahl

If you missed out this year, we will be hosting another Native Plant Sale in 2023. Sign up for our monthly E-News to be the first to know when the 2023 sale begins. Our monthly E-News includes information about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and District news.
