Join local chicken producers for a hands-on workshop as they use Whatcom CD's poultry processing equipment to take us from coop to cooler. Attendees will be mentored on animal handling, humane slaughter, scalding, plucking, evisceration, cooling and packaging, and the equipment cleaning process. Be prepared for a full afternoon, where as a group we will be processing multiple chickens and learning how to run the equipment. Space is limited.
