We are compiling a list of flood recovery resources to help those impacted by the 2025 flood. We will continue to update the page as needed. Thank you to the ongoing community efforts to help rebuild and support one another.
If you have flood damage to your home, business, or farm it is imperative that you have photo documentation of the damage for many insurance claims and financial assistance applications.

General Flood Recovery Resources
Housing, Basic Needs, Pet, and Livestock Resources: Whatcom County has compiled a list of resources for those impacted by the 2025 floods.
Whatcom Long Term Recovery Group: This group provides coordination and recovery services to individuals, families, and entities adversely impacted by disaster in Whatcom County.

List of Debris Management Sites: Whatcom County is working with disposal sites to provide debris removal for not additional cost to flood-impacted residents and businesses.

WWU Small Business Flood Recovery Resources: Western Washington University has compiled resources for small businesses impacted by flooding.
Clara's Canning Co Flood Relief Resources: Clara's Canning Company has compiled a list of flood relief resources and is keeping it updated.
Washington Department of Health: The DOH has compiled resources for how to stay safe after and during a flood, including cleaning after a flood.
Washington 211: WA 211 is a statewide helpline with knowledgeable people on the phone.
Jansen Art Center Toiletries Drive: Collecting toiletries for flood affected neighbors including soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.

Agricultural Flood Recovery Resources
2026 Farm Fund Flood Response Grant: Due to the recent major flooding event, the Community Food Co-op's Farm Fund is supporting the cleanup, stabilization, and rebuilding efforts of local farms. The Farm Fund grant cycle will distribute a limited number of grants up to $5,000 for projects that address emergency flood response, flood recovery, and related immediate farm needs. Farm businesses or farm business support organizations impacted by flooding are encouraged to apply for a Farm Fund grant. Deadline for submissions: February 8, 2026. Due to immediate need, the Farm Fund Committee may review applications sooner, as time allows.

WSDA Severe Floods & Storms Resources: The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) has compiled flood preparedness and recovery resources for agricultural operations.

Mountain Meets Farm Flood Large Animal Resources: Mountain Meets Farm is organizing feed, buckets, blankets, transport, and shelter for large animals owners impacted by the flood. They are both accepting donations and distributing resources.
Livestock Resources: Whatcom County has compiled a list of resources for those impacted by the 2025 floods.
Whatcom CD Small Grants Program: $4,500 grants are available to help rebuild or improve heavy use areas and manure storage lost or damaged in the flooding. Reach out to a Farm Planner to see if you qualify: FarmTeam@WhatcomCD.org
Southern Smoke Foundation Emergency Relief Fund: To be eligible for emergency relief funding, you must currently be employed in the food and beverage industry (this includes farmers) with a taxable income, working a minimum of 30 hours per week for at least six months. All applicants are required to provide copies of their pay stubs to verify employment. Each applicant may apply only once every 12 months. Aid is provided to eligible applicants based on individual circumstances and assessed according to financial need and household income. Applications must be submitted within six months of the qualifying crisis.

WSU 2025 Flood Support Page: Washington State University Whatcom Extension has compiled a list of resources for those impacted by flooding.
Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP): NAP provides financial assistance to producers of noninsurable crops when low yields, loss of inventory, or prevented planting occur due to natural disasters.
Tree Assistance Program: Eligible applicants include orchardists and nursery tree growers who produce annual crops for commercial purposes and have suffered losses due to natural disasters. Applicants must provide verifiable documentation of the losses and meet all program requirements.
Livestock Indemnity Program: Eligible applicants include livestock owners and contract growers who have experienced livestock deaths in excess of normal mortality due to adverse weather, disease, or attacks by federally protected animals. Applicants must provide verifiable documentation of the losses and meet all program requirements.
