WWU Student raises money to support restoration in Whatcom County
Submitted by EHirsch on Thu, 03/29/2012 - 14:44Devin Mounts of the Huxley Student Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (AWMA) held a fundraiser this year to raise money to benefit local restoration projects. The project was a way to connect the club with the local community. Through his efforts over $500 was collected and used to purchase 253 plants to be donated to the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association.
