At the District’s 2001 NW Washington Fair booth, educational activities for children were available to allow parents time to examine informational materials about District programs such as the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP), farm planning, Bertrand Creek Stream Team, and other programs available free of charge from the District.
|
Whatcom Conservation District (WCD) participates annually in the NW Washington Fair held each August in Lynden to provide information to the public about the technical assistance and educational opportunities available through the District’s various programs. For the past few years, WCD’s booth at the Fair has been incorporated into the Whatcom County Farm Friends’ “Farming for Life” exhibit in the Mt. Baker Rotary Building.
